Today, John Balson, son of Peter Balson, visited the crash- and landing site at Wamel and Beneden-Leeuwen. The Tremele Foundation functioned as host. During a cup of coffee in the Veerhuis restaurant at Wamel, all kinds of information was exchanged. The Tremele Foundation received copies of the logbook and debriefing of Peter Balson. As a momento of his visit John Balson received a booklet with war stories from Dreumel (Soldier abroad).

Then the crash site of the Halifax HR-685 TL - X, the landing site of Peter Balson and the former town hall in Beneden - Leeuwen were visited. The visit ended with a delicious lunch in the brasserie of 't Centrum in Dreumel.
